March Meeting: Awards Banquet

In place of the regular March chapter meeting, we will recognize the recipients of the Snake River Chapter's 2005-2006 STC Competitions awards at a banquet at The Waterfront. The three competitions, Technical Art, Online Communication, and Technical Publications, resulted in three Merit awards, seven Excellence awards, and one Distinguished / Best-of-Show award.

Special thanks to our local 24-judge team and to Pam Drucker, competition manager of the Canada West Coast Chapter. To help ensure unbiased judging, we exchanged several entries with the CWC chapter. We also want to thank the local competition committee: Mary Jean Renstrom, Mike Markley, Teresa Lipus, Josu Landaluce, and Barb Helling.

Date and time: Wednesday, March 8, 7pm

Location: The Waterfront, 3250 N. Lakeharbor Lane, Boise (off State St.)

Elearning Conference 2006

We are looking for volunteers to help plan a fall seminar for 2006. The seminar will be an all-day event dedicated to topics that interest varied professional organizations in the Treasure Valley. The theme of the seminar is elearning. Contact Kit Brown (president@stc-src.org) for more information.
