Council Slate for 2005-06

The following people have volunteered to run for office or to manage a committee for the 2005-06 STC year. You will receive a ballot in a few weeks. Please take the time to indicate whether you approve of the candidates listed on the ballot, and then drop it in the mail.


Elected positions:

  • President: Kit Brown
  • VP, Membership: Ryan Martin
  • VP, Programs: Alaina Eldredge
  • Secretary: Kay Wingert
  • Treasurer: Kathy Hinds

Appointed positions:

  • Newsletter: Jeff Carter
  • Web: Teresa Cartwright
  • Competition: Barb Helling
  • Employment: Darla Scott
  • Spring Conference Committee chairs: Cindy McClintock and Darla Scott

As with many organizations, you get what you give in STC. Volunteering enables you to network with other chapter members, learn a new skill, meet interesting people, and beef up your resume.

 

We have ambitious plans for next year; please take the time to volunteer to help out. We will need help in the following areas:

  • Speakers
  • Program committee members
  • Conference helpers
  • Competition judges
  • Newsletter article writers
  • Mentors
  • Meeting space providers (does your company have a medium-sized conference room we could use for our meetings)
  • Refreshment providers (have time to run to the store before the meetings and pick up some refreshments?)
  • Others
