Webinars hosted by iLevel by Weyerhaeuser

iLevel by Weyerhaeuser (formerly Trus Joist, A Weyerhaeuser Business) is registered for a number of upcoming seminars and is inviting chapter members and nonmembers to attend at no charge. The dates and topics are:

  • October 25, 2006: Ten Ways to Increase Your Value as a Technical Communicator
  • November 8, 2006: Choosing the Right Usability Technique (to answer the right question)
  • November 22, 2006: Selling Technical Communication Services-Both Inside and Outside Your Organization

Many of the Snake River Chapter members have attended STC webinars there in the past and are familiar with the location (2910 E. Amity Road, Boise, off of Federal Way). Attendees can turn in at the Visitor’s Entrance (just east of the large Weyerhaeuser sign) and park in that lot. The seminars are held in a teleconference room just a few feet away from the front desk, so visitors can sign in, get a visitor badge, and head right into the webinar.

There is also a small cafeteria on site (entrees are about $4.50), or people can bring their own lunches, and attendees can have lunch during the webinar. Copies of webinar handouts will be available to all attendees.

Teresa Lipus would like a list of attendee names and a headcount for people interested in the cafeteria lunch by the end of the day on Monday the week of the webinar. If you have questions about the time and length of a webinar or would like to sign up, contact her via email at teresa.lipus@weyerhaeuser.com.

November Meeting: Translation and Localization of Projects

This meeting will also take place at the Student Union Building of Boise State. It will be led by a panel of experts; snacks will be provided. RSVP by Nov. 5, 2006, and the meeting will be on Nov. 8, 2006.
